其實方法很簡單，只要進入系統偏好設定的共享，打開螢幕共享。

前幾天花了半天加入 app 黑名單的功能後，評價還不錯，至少止血了。今天趁著明天颱風要來早點回家，花了一個多小時，把一個單純的 screen off widget 給加了進去。

花的時間比預料的快很多，因為本來在 notification 的互動中就已經有這個 intent 和處理邏輯在了，今天只是照著原本的 widget 再生一個出來，然後設定個 pendingIntent 給它，就收工了。

Recently, I need to use sqlite commands to check data for my android app. Thanks to the rooted android ROM, the shell environment is much useful than before. It’s possible to use Tab key to auto complete filenames and directories, and I can use sqlite3 command directly in adb shell. It saved time from pulling the database file out back and forth.

However, it’s been quite a while that I almost forgot how to deal with a sqlite database. The following link is a handy Url to help me on this:

終於受不了 MacBook Pro 沒有電池的情況下的龜速運轉，帶著電腦直奔光華商場。
沒想到，就是這個沒想到，
老闆之花了15分鐘不到就幫我把電池換好了。
而且在換電池的過程中，不斷地在跟我說電池要怎麼保養，
平常電腦要怎麼使用會比較好。
所以在我還沒站到腳酸時，電池就已經換好了，
老闆還順便用吸塵器清了風扇，用洗潔精擦了擦 MBP 的外觀和螢幕。

Being a long time vim user, this is the first time that I heard vim supports relative line numbers, by which users can jump around the editor screen even more quickly. Just type :set rnu will do the trick.

Another good plugin that can improve navigation speed is EasyMotion. It works a bit like the “f” feature in vimperator for firefox. Too bad that it’s not avaible for intellij’s ideavim.

Some shortcuts can be integrated into ideaVIM, but some are more complicated and need other tricks to make it more handy. One of the technique is to use macros. As Mac’s Automator, you can ask Intellij or Android Studio to record your actions, and make it available as a keyboard shortcut.

For example, if you want to add javadoc comment to a funtion, you need to move to the first line of a certain function, and type in /**. After pressing Enter, it will generate javadoc template for that specific function. Though it’s already very convenient, it still takes time if you’re not quite familiar with how to move the cursor to the first line of the function.

It’s annoying that I have to click on torrent files every time I download them in firefox. Although I tried to check the option to open always with a certain application in SaveFile dialog, it never worked.

However, the solution seems so simple that I should have searched the internet earlier to make my life easier. In firefox official support website, it mentioned that this is configurable in Peferences:

Recently I spend most of my time reviewing documents on google’s android official site. It annoys me that the left side of the screen is always occupied by the content index; however, I just need to change articles once in a while by using it. It makes me feel bad that one third of the screen is wasted. In addition, it also distracts me while I was reading.

As a consequence, I searched internet to see if there’s any extension, plugin, or script to help me hide the navigation panel when I want to do so. Out of luck, no. Maybe it’s too tiny to have someone work on it.

很容易讀的一本書，花了兩天把它翻完。
前半部的javascript，因為已經看過一些基本的語法介紹，就沒細看。
後面的jQuery介紹，把selector的使用和網頁的一些操作都帶到了。
比較讓人不解的是，最後一章的debugger介紹，為什麼不是放在整本書的最前面呢？
中間在測一些小範例時，老是卡住；還是靠自己摸索才知道firefox和chrome都有console之類的component可以協助debugging。

難用的教育廣播電台網站和android app

是因為經費的關係嗎，為什麼把網站做得那麼難用。之前的系統提供的應該是錄音檔的直接連結，新版的把每課的連結全改成是網頁的形式，在網頁裡內嵌播放器播放該課錄音。然後有的網頁有提供下載的button，有的沒有。接著，再試用了一下Android上的app，介面很陽春就算了，畫面中的分頁數字也是小得可憐。明明是給手機使用的軟體，為什麼沒有考慮到字型大小呢。更誇張的是，選了課程來播放後，沒有聲音呀！！！可是用網頁去連，卻又可以聽到該課程的錄音檔。而針對節目的每個item，點下去則提供了Play和Stop的Action。明明就還沒有點下去，怎麼會有選Stop的時機呢？我實在是搞不懂這個app啊…

這本書整理得很好，把常見的UI模式都整理了出來，而且一個個說明優缺點。
雖然沒辦法從中學習到如何完整地搭起讓使用者喜歡或是順手的介面，
但是可以做為工具書，需要時拿出來做參考。
本書主要是以網頁的元件為主，如果也能有本書是專門在描述手機平台的，
那就更好了。
另外，這本書真是不便宜啊…得要多翻個幾次才夠本。

昨天忙著看世界精典棒賽中日之戰，前幾天則是忙著面試的事，
今天早上的SCJP考試，完全是在還沒唸完半本書前就硬著頭皮上場的。
除了有看完Java技術手冊的官網投影片外，就做了那麼幾十題的考題。
報名是在兩週前的，
一方面想要給自己一點時間壓力，讓自己可以更加投入一點，因為報名費不便宜，
另一方面是想順便再覆習一下Java的基礎概念。
邊看邊覺得，好多考題和概念太detail，
其實eclipse寫下去一compile就知道有沒有問題，
沒事用人腦來當compiler，實在是沒有這個必要。
不過，既然報名費都繳了，
還是乖乖地看看書比較實在，再抱怨也沒用。

iOS 6 Auto Layout versus Springs and Struts

雲，看了總是讓人有種脫離現實的感覺。

在看iOS programming videos時，xcode中的springs and struts我就是一直找不到。影片裡在做操作時，只能看著乾瞪眼。後來上網找了一下才發現，在iOS6中多了Auto Layout的功能，讓開發者能夠用更好(?)的方式調整UI。如果想用回舊的方式，只需要uncheck一下選項就可以了。

It’s a small tool written to randomly show my photos from flickr. I quite enjoy viewing photos in this way. It helped me to discover photos that I didn’t notice before. However, there are some limitations to it:

in current configuration, 10 photos will be shown every time I launch it. it takes too much time to do so. I have to wait for tens of seconds or even longer.
in GUI version, no thread is implemented, so the UI is blocked after the button is pressed.

Vimium is another Chrome extension that tries to simulate the key behaviors of Vi editor. Comparing to Vrome, it allows you to customize(map/unmap) its default key mappings, which is quite useful if you are used to other key mappings.

For example, I like to use H/L for going backward/forward among the tabs with vimperator on firefox. Instead of using the default J/K with Vimium on Chrome, I can change it back to the way I like.

After upgrading the network to fiber one, I need to fully utilize its bandwidth to make sure that each penny I spent is worthwhile. How to do so? Try bt. One of the best torrent site for Chinese should be btchina. No need to login; you can search the the results form multiple forums. However, it does not support firefox browser, which is my defaul browser on ubuntu. Based on the fact of firefox’s tremendous popularity, it’s not hard to find a workaround for it. I forgot how I bumped into this site Google App engine. I saw there’s a small youtube video at the right-hand side. Out of curiosity, I clicked on the video and gave it a gimplse. Wow, it’s written in Python. That made me more interested in how it works. Within hours, I wrote my first google app based on its simple sample provided in the Google App Engine SDK. Hey, but it’s already good enough to compete with my onlinedic!! The speed is amazing comparing to my desktop client. Instead of completing my first workable (and useful) android app, I ported my onlinedic to google apps. Well, I just changed the I/O part of my original python scripts. As for the html post-processing part, I did not change them at all.

這篇雖然是電腦文，不過因為國外連進來的，可能對這篇也不會感興趣，所以破例用中文寫囉。無名小站前陣子因為取消一些服務，搞得民怨四起(好像不是一直都這樣？)，鬧得很多人都要出走。要搬家的話，問題就來了：經年累月留下來的文章和照片，要怎樣搬到其他部落格去呢？關於文章、留言的部分，各家部落格其實都有提出類似的服務，可以讓使用者無痛搬家；但是對於相簿這塊，目前網路上找得到的軟體大都是專門設計來下載正妹照片用的，對於相簿中的標題和詳細描述，都沒有另外處理。也就是說，你搬得了照片，搬不了照片的字。

The default operating system on my epc 1000HE is Windows. It works quite well so far, and I am already addicted to its multi-touch panel. To save my time on finding all the equivalent functions on Ubuntu, I decide to install ubuntu in VirtualBox under Windows. In this way, I can get the benefits from the Windows softwares and drivers; in addition, I can use the familiar interfaces in Linux too.

I am quite enjoying streamtunner in Ubuntu. In combination with streamripper, it can help me to record online music radios and separate each songs into mp3 files, so that I can easily put them onto my windows mobile device and listen to the latest music at work without using the office bandwidth. Streamtuner and streamripper are free softwares in linux (as most of other softwares do). However, in Windows, I can’t find an equivalent software which is free too. I know there are some commercial softwares that can do the same thing, but why should I pay for a feature that I can freely use in another system?

最近逛書店時，會順便再逛逛文具區。
目前缺的用具是，擦筆和軟橡皮。
擦筆可以用來磨畫紙上已經畫好的筆跡，
軟橡皮則是可以揉成任意形狀，利用按的方式來改變畫面的亮度。
這兩個我到現在還是沒找到。
不過，週日的時候倒是找到了這個：三角形的橡皮擦。
長成這種形狀，有了它之後我就不用再煩惱要把我的pentel橡皮擦轉到哪個角度才是乾淨的。
特地又買了一條橡皮擦芯。
這樣子夠我用上好一陣子吧。
(因為其實我不太用橡皮擦的…)

家人買了S-ATA的硬碟，然後想裝在很舊很舊的電腦上，
所以另外買了一片PCI轉S-ATA的介面卡。
裝上介面卡後，卻怎樣也沒辦法進到原來的Windows XP。
為了讓事情簡單一點，我把自己現在在用的硬碟外接盒直接拆下來。
果然，換成外接盒就什麼問題也沒了。

I tried to install Vimperator 2.0 several weeks ago ( or one month ago?). The speed of auto completion is aweful. So, I turned back to use version 1.2 without second thoughts. At that time, I know there’s still some improvements to go for version 2.0. Tonight, I gave it another try and found it quite joyful! The speed of auto-completion is quite impressive, and the categorized suggestion list is much clearer than older versions. That’s the first impression I had for this new version. Out of interests, I searched for other useful plugins too. I installed char-hints-mod2.js, gvimail.js, and lookupDictionary.js.

In order to reduce the efforts of getting latest version of source codes from perforce server and compile it on the machine, I used the p4api .NET library in my program. However, it’s a long process; so I have to use another thread to handle this task, and bring out the message sometimes to know current progress. I encountered a problem as the title says – cross thread control handling. my task is done in a newly created thread; and the message will be printed in a listbox control, which is created by the main thread. To utilize the control in another thread, the delegation mechanism should be used. It’s not so complicated. Here’s a simple sample from codeproject.

Eventually, I reinstalled my system. This is my first time reinstalling Windows XP on my ASUS W3V notebook. For the last 4 years, it worked like a charm, although I installed a lot of programs on it, tweaking the UI for several times, and used it almost every day at work. Frankly speaking, it’s rather robust and stable for me. The reason why I need to reinstall it is that recently the Window software installation system is broken on the machine. I can’t remove installed applications, nor install new softwares. That bothers me a lot since I am kind of mania about installing new stuffs.

Vimperator是個Firefox的extension，可以讓Firefox有跟Vim一樣的鍵盤操作手感。
以前在網路上已經有大概看到過，不過一直沒有裝起來玩過。
今天晚上試了一下，驚為天人！
Vim的精髓都到位了，除了在欄位輸入時，要用Tab切來切去很麻煩，
和Bookmark的輸入不大習慣之外，目前的操作都還算順手。

Since Sony’s elibrary software only runs on Windows platform, I have to find another software to manage ebooks on my Sony Reader PRS-500 under Ubuntu. And so far, I think calibre (used to be named as libprs500) is the best tool I can get. It can not only allow me to transfer documents to my PRS-500, but also be capable of converting documents or RSS feeds to reader compitable formats.

Originally, Gimp only supports script-fu plugins which are written in lisp. From some day that I don’t know exactly, Gimp started to support plugins written in python. As a python programmer, I can easily write something for my own purpose. By reading the instructions of the following links, a simple plugin can be written within minutes. However, I do not find many useful examples on the internet. If there’s a place on internet to store all the plugins, that would be wonderful.

Originally, FlickrRandomImage only shows 10 images from a random page of my flickr account. I found that it’s not so interesting. I want the results to be more various; in other words, I want to have 10 images individually from different pages, instead of from the same page.

In order to make this modification, at first I have to know the total amount of my photos on flickr. I can get a Person object by calling the following API:
Flickr.PeopleGetInfo(userid);
and then, with the Person object, I can access PhotosSummary object in which there’s an attribute – PhotoCount.

剛寫好的python script有兩個缺點：

只能看到public的照片。我有很多沒整理的照片都是private的，如果連自己也不行看，那不是白費工。
執行程式之後，firefox會開啟網頁，如果想要再來一次，就要手動關掉已經開啟的畫面，來來回回的很麻煩。

趁還沒睡覺，又趕出了一版。這一版依照Python Flickr API Documentation中關於Authentication的部分做了加強，讓它可以取得token。這麼一來，第一個問題就解決了。不論是公開還是隱藏起來的照片，都列在隨機選取的範圍內。

一直都是用dopod 818來當我的鬧鐘。不過內建的鬧鐘很陽春，而且預設是不行使用mp3來當鬧鈴；系統內建的音效又遜的可以。之前曾經有裝過幾套不用錢的軟體，不過因為年代久遠，而且偶爾手機會重灌，所以來法國後一直都是用內建的。

Stardict converted some dictionary files from Babylon format. I can use them happily in my onlinedic. However, on my dopod 818 (pocketpc 2003), I can only use FrHelper PPC version, which is just good enough for basic use. For more detail explanation, I still have to turn to my computer.

I tried to convert stardict dict format to mdict ( a powerful free dictionary for PocketPC, with a clean interface) with the tool provided by mdict, but it always fails for unknown reason.

在十二世紀時，亞維儂是個重要的貿易中心。城中著名的橋在當時是唯一跨越隆爾(Rhone)地區南部的交通要道。十四世紀時，隨著教宗的到來(哪個教宗，什麼教宗…我就不清楚了)，亞維儂得以不斷地發展和繁榮。連續九任的教宗建立起著名的(Palais des Papes)教宗宮殿"，如今，成為當地的地標。另一個不可不看的景點是斷橋(Pont Saint-Benezet)。雖然我覺得沒什麼好看的，不過因為這兩者有套票，一起買會比較便宜，所以我還是去了。

在尼斯待了兩天，第二天一早買了Pass 1 jour (4歐)，可以坐Tram，巴士。想說就坐坐公車走遠一點兒吧。反正沒要去摩洛哥的話，時間就多了很多。看了一下公車站的地圖，有兩條線會沿著海岸往東去，一條線是81，圖上為綠色的線；另一條是100，圖上是灰色的線。綠色看起來比較順眼，所以我就選了81線坐。

在馬賽的第二天，早上起個大早，從車站慢慢散步到市區偏北的一個大公園Palais Longchamp。公園入口是個大水池，水池的另一端則是雕像和上去小山坡的階梯。兩旁還有一排排的石柱。到達公園時發現，早上光線是逆光的，所以由水池往雕像的方向拍去，天空會白掉。雕像的線條也沒有辦法很好地表現出來。

最近總覺得Asus W3V在Windows XP下運行地特別慢。所以今晚橫下心來，把灌了快兩年的MAC theme移除，回到XP最精簡，效能最佳的95外觀。頓時，我的W3V又飛起來了。不論是開啟檔案總管，Firefox(雖然還是有點慢)，或是用powerCinema看電視，在執行速度都至少快了一倍。

在很早期，onlinedic就已經加入了法文動詞變位查詢的支援。
當時是直接把別人寫好現成的library拿來用，
因為原本的library就已經有我想要的API，所以沒有特別改什麼。

Annecy到處種滿了鬱金香。雖然沒有像荷蘭的花田般壯觀，不過還是很能讓人感受到春天的氣息。

靈格斯字典，早期稍微適用過。當時並沒有荷蘭文字典，法文字典的選擇也很少，
所以後來以移除軟體收場。
昨天再次試了一下2.2.0版，發現網站上的字庫有了很大的改進。
法文字庫目前有法漢字典（簡體版，來源似是法語助手），和petit robert 2007。
petit robert 2007的呈現方式竟然就跟我的Babylon上一模一樣。
Lingoes的介面也朝Babylon的介面看齊，在外觀上（對我來說）極為相似。

Need to connect my dopod818 to ubuntu in order to sync some data.
I tried this a long time ago, without success.
This time, it seems to work well.
Here’s the HowTo I referenced:

As usual, you have to install some packages at first.
And then set up some configurations.
Voila! I can sync 818 with Evolution. :)

最近在電視上看到遊Annecy湖的廣告，隨手錄了下來(改天再放)，
隨著氣溫愈來愈高，這兒的遊客應該也會愈來愈多吧。

Searched some information on the internet to better utilize the 128 RAM on my s200.
Firstly, I turned off GDM service.
Instead, startx is executed (with icewm window manager) from command line,
everytime I turn on my s200.
It’s said that GDM consumes quite some memory usage.
Secondly, I commented unnecessary ttys.
In general, one tty is enough for me.
Nevetheless, I kept two, just in case.

到里昂那麼多次，終於有一次是好天氣。

借來的Business French就要到期了，可是看沒幾課。
想說先把CD拷一拷好了。
在ubuntu下有Sound Juicer可以幫忙rip光碟，
但是，預設模式下只有flac和ogg，
我的mp3 player並不支援這兩種格式，
所以我把profile改成mp3，可是卻不行運作。

When I read Harry Potter III, I used three instances of onlinedic: one in Chambers Francais Anglais; one with XMLittre, Francais-Francais Dictionnaire; one in woaifayu-fc 我愛法語法漢字庫.

Most of the time I used the third one, because I can quickly grab the idea of the word, and move on to the following details of the plots.

However, the content of woaifayu-fc (a dictionary file from stardict website) is not well orgnized. All the explanations are crammed together. It’s hard to find the meannings that I want.

利用安錫湖的照片做了2008年的月曆。

2008年月曆做好後，我試著要把這些月曆用Hotmail寄出去，
因為Hotmail裡面已經有所有msn上的聯絡人，
可以省下我再一個一個鍵入的麻煩。
但是問題來了：
當我要寄出信件時，
Windows Live Mail才跳出個警告跟我說：
請確保你的收件人人數在五十人以下。
這…
我怎麼知道選了多少聯絡人啊。
而且，為什麼會有這樣子的限制呢？
難不成五十人以上就一定是在寄垃圾郵件？
